METHODIST CHURCH: The family service on Sunday was taken by Marian Jennings who took as her theme “Music”. Members of the congregation were asked what would be their favourite piece of music if they were stranded on a desert island. This proved to be quite difficult because of the many variations of music these days. Also their favourite sounds and this proved mainly to be birds singing or waves breaking against the shore.
Appropriate hymns were played by Sybil and the offering was collected by Edward Boaden. Pene Oates read Psalm 150 “Praise Ye the Lord” and flowers were provided by Nellie Sobey. On Sunday at 11am the appointed preacher is the Rev David Pountain. All welcome.
