Famous artist Graham Ovenden will not go to jail over a series of sex offences against children.
He was sentenced to 12 months, suspended for two years at Plymouth Crown Court.
In April the artist, who had seen his work displayed internationally, was found guilty of six charges of indecency with a child and one allegation of indecent assault.
Ovenden, who ives near Bodmin had argued that the work which included images of naked young girls were not indecent, however the jury at his trial heard that his work was a way to sexually assault young girls.
He admitted he had taken pictures of naked children, and that some of his subjects had been blindfolded
Ovenden was cleared of three counts of indecency and two of indecent assault.
Following his conviction his work was removed from the Tate's online collection.
