While we are all used to looking up at the Maritime Museum lookout tower in Falmouth, some brave souls had a vertigo inducing view down on Sunday, after swinging off into the air as part of a charity abseil.
The event, run by BF Adventure staff and volunteers, gives brave visitors the chance to face their fears by ascending to the top of the tower, traversing the narrow walkway, climbing over the railings and then dangling off the tower.
The plucky few then abseil the 95 feet back to the safety of solid ground. The charity abseil is run as part the Fal River Festival and helps raise funds to support BF Adventures' work with disadvantaged children and people with disabilities.
