A builder in his fifties was airlifted from the Goldenbank area of Falmouth this morning after falling from scaffolding.
South West Ambulance Service were called to the scene of the accident at 8.24am.
The man fell three storeys, approximately ten metres, and sustained serious injuries, a spokesperson said.
He is reported to have suffered head and back injuries.
A Royal Navy search and rescue helicopter was requested for urgent evacuation of the man to the trauma unit at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.
