An appeal has gone out for children who used to live at the former Helston Children's Home to take part in a reunion.
Shortly before Christmas the Packet reported how brother and sister David Caunter and Christine James visited the Baden and Martin History Group to share their memories of living at the home in Casterills Road.
Now they, together with younger brother Arthur, are hoping to find other people who were residents of the home from the time it open into 1936 to when it closed and was converted into two large semi-detached houses.
Former staff members are also invited to take part.
Helston Methodist minister Rev Danny Reed has offered to hold the reunion at the church hall in Coinagehall Street.
It is hoped it will take place around Easter, or in the months following.
Anyone connected to the home can register their interest via the Packet by calling news editor Emma Ferguson on 01326 213341 or emailing emma.ferguson@packetseries.co.uk Christine was 13, David 11 and Arthur nine when they moved to the children's home, following the death of their father and subsequently their grandfather who had been looking after them. Their mother left while they were still very young.
The idea of the reunion first came about following their visit to the Baden and Martin History Group, which meets monthly at Helston Methodist hall.
