Penryn Carnival organisers will hold a second meeting on February 12 at 7pm after an initial talk failed to attract much interest from the public.
After initial discussion it was decided to close some roads for the carnival, which starts at Penryn Rugby Club at 6pm on July 19, and possibly keep them closed throughout the evening for street entertainment and activities.
Ideas were also discussed for Penryn Week, which runs from 13-19 July, including bands in pubs, walks, and talks.
Organisers are looking for volunteers, and hope local businesses will create their own events to coincide with Penryn Week.
