Castle Beach Cafe in Falmouth has been leff battered by recent storms and huge waves, but will it survive 'Big Wednesday' and Saturday's monster swell.
The slamming waves damaged shutters and lifted the building on its foundations.
Owners Steve and Jayne Grey arrived at the beach on Monday morning to find extensive damage to the seafront café, including a section of plastic roof that had collapsed under the weight of the waves, a back door lifted off its hinges, a broken gutter and several cracks in the structure of the building.
They also saw two wooden tables, which had been chained at the side of the building, floating on the sea, and were unable to recover them.
