BBC Radio Cornwall is appealing for unwanted and unused Christmas gifts.
Present Aid for Cornwall will raise much needed funds for groups and organisations in the county. The sale, which has become an annual event, will take place in a marquee, kindly donated by Aussie Marquees on Lemon Quay in Truro on Monday, January 8, and will be broadcast live.
In the past the event has raised thousands of pounds for local charity, Shelterbox and Tsunami victims. This year it's to help boost the funds of the BBC Radio Cornwall appeal.
The charity helps groups across the county and hands out donations twice a year. The WRVS in Cornwall received a grant to buy thermal boxes so that meals on wheels arrived warm at Cornish homes and the Cornwall Search and Rescue group were given money to buy a first aid kit which will help with training.
Items should be taken to the station's offices at Phoenix Wharf in Truro. However, it's hoped there will be other collection points across Cornwall. If anyone is able to help they should ring the action desk on 01872 225522.
Presenter Laurence Reed, who will host the programme, said: "Please don't give us food or clothes, just Christmas gifts that you don't think will ever be used but will benefit others."
The Present Aid sale will take place between noon and 3pm.
