A shoplifter found himself in trouble with the police after stealing from two shops and a garden centre, with the spree blamed on funding a heroin addiction.
He had been found with two hand-written shopping lists on him, containing all expensive items, and had little money in his possession, Truro magistrates heard.
Richard Keith Toy, aged 35, c/o Thomas Terrace, Porthleven, pleaded guilty to stealing razors worth £119.98, food worth £9.03, and boxes of Christmas lights worth £143.
Gail O'Hagan, probation officer, said his offending was directly related to his daily heroin use.
Toy was given a community order for a year with supervision, and a drug rehabilitation requirement for six months.
