The multi agency Silver Control centre at County Hall closed at 2pm today.
There have been no major incidents experienced as a result of the strong winds and large waves, with the heavy rainfall which was forecast to affect Cornwall later today, instead moving to Devon.
A council spokesman said: "There are currently no plans to re open Cornwall Silver Control during the remainder of the weekend, however all the agencies will continue to monitor the weather and have robust plans in place to respond if the situation changes.
"Crews from the Council’s highways and environment services and the fire and rescue service are on stand by to respond if required.
"The weather situation is forecast to improve over night this evening and during tomorrow and Monday, with the next period of severe weather now expected on Tuesday."
