The latest estimate for the cost of the storms in Cornwall is more than £21 million, according to councillor Alex Folkes.
He said: "This is made up of £3.8 million for immediate response and making safe and £17.5 million for full repairs and remediation. But these are still preliminary estimates and are continuing to rise. In all probability they will rise again this weekend as yet more bad weather is forecast."
