Firefighters are warning people to check their chimneys and have them cleaned after four incidents in one afternoon.
Pumping appliances from Redruth, Truro and Perranporth attended a chimney fire on Mile Hill, Porthtowan where smoke was also coming through the roof. Crews used a Stirrup Pump and Rods to extinguish the fire.
A crew from Launceston attended a chimney fire in a domestic property in Fivelanes, Launceston, while a crew from Delabole attended a chimney fire in Michaelstow, St Tudy. The fourth fire was at a property near Blunts, Saltash, with one pumping appliance from Saltash attending.
