Falmouth and Penryn Sea Cadets had their achievements recognised at their annual presentation evening on Thursday, January 30.
Cadets were handed their prizes by Commander David Pledger, the commanding officer of Defence SERE training at RAF St Mawgan.
Scooping the top awards were: A Stewart, named Most Promising Junior Cadet, J Frost, Best Junior Cadet, M Alford, Best New Entry, M Alford and A Pearmund, Most Improved Swimmers, P Hall, Most Improved Sailor, A Lilly, Mitchell Mud Pup Award, C Frost and J Brown, Seaman of the Year, J Houghton, Most Parades Attended, and H Avard for Best Attendance.
Gill Grant, the group’s chairman, said: “The evening was very enjoyable with huge support from the parents. They seem to appreciate what we do for our cadets.
“Sea Cadets is about learning about the sea, about discipline and about having fun.”
