Around 70 elderly residents of Helston attended a Christmas lunch organised by the members of Age Concern.
The lunch, which celebrated its 20th anniversary, was held in the hall of Helston Methodist Church and was prepared by a team headed by supervisor Mary Levy.
Mrs Levy was the cook at the very first lunch and was presented with flowers in appreciation of her work over the last 20 years.
Helston Age Concern treasurer Edna Angove was also presented with flowers in recognition of two decades of work.
Mrs Levy said: "It went very well and I think everyone had a good time. It's quite a big event. I couldn't do it without my helpers."
The lunch was attended by Helston mayor and mayoress Ronnie and Debbie Williams as well as former mayor Paul Phillips.
The group meets at the Methodist Church hall every Monday for lunch, which costs £3 per person.
