Police are appealing for witnesses following a "vicious unprovoked attack" on two young men on a night out in Redruth.
The men were heading home from the Zone Night Club around 2.40am on Friday 7 February when the assault happened.
Detectives say the victims were walking along Foundry Row towards Chapel Street when three men, who were a short distance ahead of them, turned around and verbally abused them.
The victims were walking away when they were then set upon by the three men.
One of the victims was punched to the floor and repeatedly kicked about the head and upper body resulting in serious, possible life changing facial injuries. The 21-year-old from Redruth was taken to Treliske Hospital for treatement.
The three attackers are believed to be of Eastern European origin. The main offender is described white, in his early 30s, approximately 5ft 4ins to 5ft 6ins tall, with a stocky muscular build, close-shaved dark hair and a clean shaven face.
The other two offenders were also white, but taller and slimmer than the main offender and aged in their mid 20s.
Following the assault the three offenders ran off in the direction of the town centre.
Anybody who witnessed this incident or has any information to assist the investigation is urged to contact DC Ryan Parker at Camborne Police Station by telephoning 101, quoting crime reference AC/14/564.
Alternatively information can be given anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
