A lorry driver from Cornwall who died following a crash on the M4 in Wiltshire has been named as 62 year-old John Fry.
Wiltshire Police say that shortly after 7am on February 12, police received reports of a hay lorry, travelling westbound between junction 17 (Chippenham) and junction 18 (Bath), having left the motorway into a ditch approximately 1one to two miles west of Leigh Delamere Services.
Police, ambulance and fire attended but the driver of the white Volvo articulated lorry, a 62 year old man from St Breward in Cornwall, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lane one and two of the motorway were closed for a period of time to allow for scene examination work to be completed and for the safe recovery of the vehicle, which had come to an upright stop. No other vehicles were involved.
