Members of the community in St Keverne and Coverack will be invited to get involved in marking the centenary anniversary of World War I.
The parish council will organise a meeting inviting members of the public, together with the St Keverne History Society and the village’s Royal British Legion, to take part.
Councillor Roger Richards said the history society, of which his wife Karen is secretary, had begun preparing for the commemorations six months ago.
They planned to have the war as the theme for their annual display during this August’s St Keverne Ox Roast.
However, the group was also keen to be part of any other events that the parish might put on to mark the anniversary.
