A Porthleven builders’ merchants saved the day for Helston’s Cornwall Air Ambulance shop when it sprung a leak recently.
After shop manager Melinda King noticed several leaks in the roof of a storage shed, she called RGB Building Supplies and asked the manager Lee Atkinson if they could help.
Melinda said: “They kindly donated two rolls of roofing felt, and thanks to them our shed is now drying out.
“I would like to say a huge thank you to all the chaps there. Two were airlifted by the Air Ambulance.”
Lee said: “It’s a charity that relies on public support, it’s nice to help them out.
“A couple of our staff have had to ride in the ambulance. One, Chris Penrose, was injured on a jetski in Falmouth and the other, Paul Vinnicombe, had a hand injured in a circular saw in previous employment.”
