Lightning strike takes out water supply to Newquay homes
Water supplies in Newquay were disrupted last night after a 'bizarre' problem caused by a lightning strike.
South West Water staff carried out urgent repairs following a lightning strike on one of their water mains.
Staff isolated the burst to Henver road and restored supplies to the rest of Newquay, however the were further delays to restoring water to those on Henver Road.
