UPDATE: The man who died is believed to be a man in his thirties from Lithuania.
The vehicle involved was a black Citroen Berlingo being used as a taxi.
Any witnesses are asked to call the police on 101 quoting reference 45 of 15th February 2014.
A man walking along the A30 has died after being involved in a collision with a vehicle.
He died at around 12.30am this morning, on the east bound carriageway near Redruth.
The vehicle was travelling in the same direction.
The A30 was closed in both directions to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.
The west bound carriageway has since been re-opened but the east bound carriageway between Avers and Tolvaddon remains closed for police investigation.
The deceased’s next of kin have been informed.
A police spokesperson said no further details would be released at this time.
Anyone who witnessed the RTC or has any information which would assist police enquiries should ring the police non-emergency number 101 and quote incident reference 45 of the 15th February 2014.
