Some train routes have reopened in Cornwall today, following major disruption due to flooding.

All branch lines apart from Looe Valley are now open, with the mainline between Plymouth and Penzance due to reopen later this afternoon to St Erth.

A coach service will then run the rest of the way to Penzance, due to damage to signals and Penzance station.

An hourly rail service operates between Exeter St Davids and London Paddington. Some of these services may have to travel over a diversionary route, and journey times may take longer than normal.

The line between Newton Abbot and Exeter remains closed owing to the collapse of the sea wall at Dawlish. Coaches operate between these stations calling at intermediate stations.

Fast, direct coaches also operate from Plymouth and Exeter to Bristol and Tiverton to connect with trains to and from London.

From Monday fast coaches will also operate between Truro and Bodmin to Tiverton Parkway.

Customers travelling from Bristol Temple Meads to Plymouth or Cornwall should take a train to Bristol Parkway and use a direct bus service from there.
