The AGM was held at the WI hall on Friday at 2.15pm and was well attended. Avril Woolcock, WI Advisor and Jane Mills County Treasurer were both welcomed to the meeting.
Minutes from previous AGM were read and approved. The treasurer’s report was read and approved, and other business/reports were discussed. Nominations for a committee were put forward and voting took place. Val Stephens was elected as the new president.
The competition - handmade heart/hearts in any medium: 1, Catherine Barnes; 2, Rosemary Bray; 3, Margaret Evans. he Flower of the Month competition was won by Kath Donald. Tea hostesses were Jenny Tyler-Street and Rosemary Bray.
Mullion Spring Show will be held in WI hall on Saturday, March 8, 2.30-5pm. For further information, schedules/entry forms contact Frances Hosken 240507 or Elizabeth Endean 241178.
Events held in the WI hall: Handicraft: every Wednesday, 10am-noon; Art 2-4pm. On the last Tuesday of each month there is a lunch served from noon-1.30pm - Bookings to Doreen Roberts 240132.
Next meeting Friday, March 14 at 2.15pm, at WI hall “The Underwater World of Cornwall” talk given by Peter Howell - New members always welcome.
