There was sunshine, daffodils and bells to welcome the congregation at parish communion, inviting thanksgiving after all the violent storms.
Canon David Miller introduced the service and the Rev Dorothy Noakes presided at communion. Betty Booker, lay reader, preached on themes from the day’s Bible readings that seemed especially hard to the modern hearer, but simply showed how God in Jesus came to teach us how to live or, as Betty concluded, to look to the possible to achieve the impossible.
John Eddy read the lesson and the organist was Richard Berry.
