Three seal pups nursed back to health by the Cornish Seal Sanctuary have been given their freedom.
The trio, Solar, Milky Way and Galaxy, were released back into the sea at Praa Sands on Tuesday morning.
The release was planned for Gunwalloe, however was moved to Praa Sands due to the weather.
It seems however that at least one of the seals, all aged around five months old, was not keen to leave, with Milky Way dragging her flippers, so to speak. However she was fine once she entered the sea.
The recent storms have had a high toil on marine wildlife, with many species dying in large numbers due to the relentless bad weather.
The sanctuary has had more pups on site than ever before, with the release opening up some space at the sanctuary.
