Father of man who drowned off Loe Bar on New Year's Day donates funds to emergency services
The father of a holidaymaker that died at Loe Bar on New Year’s Day has raised £1,800 for the emergency services that tied to rescue him.
This was the news given to Porthleven Town Council when it met last week.
A letter of condolence was sent from the council to the family of Harry Swordy, who was swept away by waves as he celebrated the arrival of 2014 on the beach.
