A BID to get a decision to refuse planning permission for a new flat in Falmouth’s Grenville Road overturned at appeal has failed.
Mr J Paull was refused permission to build a flat on land to the rear of 56 Grenville Road and took his case to the Planning Inspectorate.
However planning inspector Simon Miles has upheld Cornwall Council’s decision and dismissed the appeal.
He said the new flat would be crammed into the rear garden “in a cramped and contrived manner” and would cause “significant harm” to the character and appearance of the area.
