THERE were some spooky goings-on at Falmouth Primary Academy on Thursday when children of the reception class were given the chance to release their inner witch.
The youngsters jumped at the chance to dress up and stay in costume for the entire day, maybe hoping they would get some magical inspiration as they tackled their normal lessons.
It was not all hard work, though, as the pupils also got to mix up some potions, create spells and make a batch of witches’ soup.
In the afternoon they enjoyed a party with some witch-inspired food and drink.
The day had been organised to celebrate the children reaching the end of their latest topic.
The youngsters have spent the last few weeks learning all about witches after convincing teachers they should form the basis of this term’s subject.
