PRIMARY SCHOOL: Early in February Year Six children took part in Bikeability. This is a cycling proficiency for the 21st century giving pupils the skills and confidence to cycle in today’s traffic conditions. It taught them the basics of cycling techniques, road sense and bicycle maintenance. It was inspiring to see them cycling around the village! World Book Day takes place on Thursday, March 6 when the children will be dressing up as their favourite characters from books.
LITTLE DOLPHINS PRE-SCHOOL: There will be a quiz night on Friday, March 7 in the school hall at 7.30pm for an 8pm start. Entry is £8 per team with a maximum of six per team. For more information please contact Sam on 01736 761100.
METHODIST CHURCH: The service on Sunday was conducted by Dennis Bassett from Helston. His sermon was about faith and he quoted “Hold on to your faith for the Lord is here at all times”. Everyone enjoyed singing the hymns he had chosen accompanied by Mavis Harper.
