PRAZE FAIR SHOW: As plans get under way for this year’s show on Saturday, July 12, the Annual General Meetings of the two show committees will be taking place: Tent Section Committee: Thursday, February 27, 7.15pm, The Institute, Praze; Main Show Committee: Friday, February 28, 8pm, The Institute, Praze. Anyone wishing to help towards the success of the show is welcome to come along.
CROWAN PARISH CHURCH: The bells welcomed the congregation on Sunday. The service was led by the Rev John Eatock and the music was played by Chad. Readers during the service were Nick and Michelle, Nick also read the prayers of intersession. The contemplative service “meditation at six” will continue Sunday evenings at Crowan Church and all are welcome.
The coffee morning held on Saturday was a great success raising over £120 for church funds. Many thanks are sent to all who helped with and supported this event.
Pancakes will be served at the St Aubyn Arms in Praze-an-Beeble on Shrove Tuesday, March 4, from 11am-2pm. There will be a raffle and bring-and-buy. Please come along and support church funds.
The Rev Sharon Shelcroft is taking a special service on Ash Wednesday, March 5, beginning at 7pm. The church is supporting research into Parkinson’s disease this year with its annual Lenten soup lunches. The money is raised by providing the delicious lunches commencing on Friday, March 7 between noon-1.30pm and they are available for the following six weeks in the parish rooms. Everyone is welcome to come along and help support this worthy cause. During lunch on the March 7, Mr Weatherby will be giving an informative talk about Parkinson’s Disease.
