The preacher for Sunday morning worship was Elsie Balme, who spoke about “Expectations of God” based on scripture passages from the prophet Joel, the Acts of the Apostles and John’s Gospel.
Readers were Jeremy Mitchell, Megan Bawden and David Balme. David Philp was the organist. Coffee was served at the close of the service.
Evening worship in the Choir Vestry was led by Deacon Geoff Tamblin, who based his talk on the gospel story of the healing of the man let down through the roof. Readers were Wendy Mitchell and Megan Bawden. Paul Benney was pianist.
On Sunday, March 9 at 6.30pm the chapel will host a special Songs of Praise event, to raise funds for the Porthleven Fishermen’s Association Emergency Fund. There is an open invitation to members of the public, including friends from other churches, to attend this event to show support for our fishermen at this very difficult time. Tea and biscuits will follow the service.
