Support has been given to Porthleven’s Nauti But Ice cafe and ice cream parlour creating a built-in seating area outside.

David Page, who owns the Commercial Road business with his wife Lucy, has also applied for planning permission for a fixed awning outside, with bi-folding doors and windows in the cafe.

He explained to the town council that the alterations were designed to make it nicer for customers sitting outside.

Members had no objection to the plan, although the final decision will be taken by Cornwall Council.
