Devoran Spring Flower Show will be held a week later than normal this year to give gardeners a chance to get their exhibits ready.
With the recent storms causing problems, the date of March 15 has been chosen by the committee in the hope there will be more flowers and plants to display.
The event will be held in the village hall as usual, with doors opening to the public at 2pm.
The committee is encouraging new exhibitors to take part this year, as well as welcoming back old hands who support the show year on year, without whom there would be no show.
Classes cover a wide range of categories, from flowers, shrubs and pot plants to cookery, handicrafts and photography, together with a large section for children to enter.
Schedules are available from Myrtle Cottage in Carclew Terrace, 5 St Johns Terrace, from the post office at Carnon Downs and Cartref at Point Green. Rules and regulations are written inside the schedule, together with an entry form.
Margaret Wilson, show secretary, said: “This really is an excellent village event. The display always looks wonderful and the scent from the blooms is delightful.
“We also run an adult and a children’s raffle, there is a plant stall and the teas are famous, so do come along and join us, either as an exhibitor or a spectator.
“We rely on your support and look forward to seeing you.”
