Coffee mornings held by the group will be seasonal and will have something special each time, so the spring coffee morning will be held on Saturday March 8 with a spring gardening theme. It will be held at the Crown Inn from 10am to noon.
Join in for a cuppa and cake and some gardening chat. There will be an early Easter bonnet competition and a competition for a monster made out of vegetables. This is open to all ages and there are prizes for the best. The group would love to hear any gardening tips from any green-fingered people. There will also be an opportunity to book a place on the trip to the Proms at the Minnack Theatre. There is a table-top-sale every Wednesday evening at the Crown Inn.
The group held its first Ladies Pebbles evening for 2014 on February 19 at Nancegollan Village Hall. It was a great evening with a local author, Peter Webb, amusing everyone with his anecdotes of his interesting varied and unusual life events. His descriptions of writing screenplays for the BBC and his novels "Ladies of The Squire" and "The Quarry" as well as stories of being a gamekeeper, working in the theatre and mentoring young people going through difficult times kept everyone riveted. The ladies Pebbles group is open to everyone and meets monthly.
