The preacher for Sunday morning worship was Mike Trounson, who led an interactive conversation on prayer, with members of the congregation offering answers to questions raised by the preacher.

The subject was also explored with scripture readings and suitable hymns. David Philp was the organist.

The vestry service in the evening was led by the Rev Steve Swann, who urged the congregation to pursue the promotion of the gospel, rather than get bogged down in minutiae. “Strain at a gnat and swallow a camel” was used as an illustration. Lessons were read by Olive Polglase and Jeff Mount. Godfrey Richards was pianist.

On Sunday at 6.30pm the chapel will host a special Songs of Praise event, to raise funds for the Porthleven Fishermen’s Association Emergency Fund. There is an open invitation to members of the public, including friends from other churches, to attend this event to show support for our fishermen at this very difficult time. Tea and biscuits will follow the service.
