A man has appeared before Truro magistrates accused of biting a dog.
Giving an address in Gwent, but alleged to have committed the offence in Penzance, Timothy John Noonan was charged with seven offences there in all, including two of causing unnecessary suffering to a Boxer dog bitch by throwing her against a sideboard and kicking her, and on another occasion by picking her up by the throat and biting her, in December last year.
Noonan pleaded not guilty to the two concerning the dog, as well as to assault on Annette Prosperi on two occasions, criminally damaging her property on two occasions, and a bail offence.
The case was adjourned for trial at Truro Magistrates’ Court on May 14.
