A man is to face trial later this year accused of the murder of Falmouth pensioner David Alderson.
Kevin Cooper, aged 33, from Carharrack, made no plea to the charge when he appeared before Exeter Crown Court on Monday.
He is due to appear again in June, at either Exeter or Truro, with a provisional trial date set for November.
Cooper was remanded in custody until the next hearing.
The body of Mr Alderson, 72, was found at the disused Wheal Maid mine works in Carharrack on January 18 this year.
