Penryn College has announced the names of its new head boy and head girl along with those of their deputies.
Ben Mitchell will be head boy, with Patrick Hall as his deputy, and Clara Husbands will be head girl, deputised by Katie Lucke.
The college has also appointed Josh Wilson, Niamh Lister, Maddie Roberts, Mollie Martin and Ellie Eva to serve as prefects.
Ben said: “I couldn’t believe it, it was a great feeling to learn I |had been given the honour. I’m really excited and looking forward to it.”
Clara said: “I was so pleased. I really wanted it and to be successful was just brilliant. I can’t wait to get started now.”
Applicants were interviewed by the college’s senior management team and current head boy and girl Sam Franklin and Ruth Barnicoat.
Ben and Clara both represent the school at sporting events, as well as working in extracurricular clubs, and as part of their new roles will be involved with the school charity, speaking at events and in assemblies, and will be held up as role models and representatives of the college.
