The inquest into the deaths of Penryn woman, Bridget Toy, and former Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall, Jeremy Tetley, who died in a car crash at Treluswell last July, is to be held in Truro next Wednesday (March 12).
Lt. Commander Jeremy Tetley, RN (Retired), 82, had been driving his friend’s BMW 3-series when it was struck by a tipper lorry at the junction of Brown’s Hill.
Mrs Toy, 61, had been a back seat passenger while her husband, Nigel, had been in |the front passenger seat and escaped with his life.
Mrs Toy and Mr Tetley had been pronounced dead at the scene. The 22-year-old driver of the Fiat Ducato flatbed truck, from Penzance, suffered only minor injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics.
