A taste of Wales came to Mylor at the weekend when the Trefusis Singers held a St David’s Day coffee morning at the Tremayne Hall.
Twenty bunches of leeks sold in the first 15 minutes and the profusion of daffodil posies did not take much later to disappear. The stalls also did very well with the coffee and special biscuits going down a treat.
The event raised almost £300 and the choir would like to thank all those who supported it. The money will go towards new music.
The choir’s next main summer concert will be on July 12 in the Tremayne Hall. Anyone wishing to join the “very happy, fun loving but also hard working choir,” should cal Irene Gardiner on 01326 619019.
