The first darts knockout competition held at the Three Tuns Hotel in St Keverne proved so successful it will become an annual event.
Organised by father and son dart players Alan and David Bastian, with permission from landlords Chris and Dawn, the competition saw 28 entrants, ranging from experienced league players to first time throwers, competing to win a cash prize of £120 provided by the pub.
The evening was kept flowing along by Billy Robbins, many times singles champion of the Helston Dart League, who also presented the awards.
With some very close games throughout, the eventual winner was Jason Hocking, with Phill James in second and Steve Ruberry third. The highest finish award was shared by Maria Matthews and Adele Kostrzewska.
A raffle of some 20 prizes also proved popular, with the top prize of a meal for two won by Hannah Bassett.
