A cheque for £3,000 was presented to John Buddle Chairman of the Camborne Branch of Cancer UK recently.
The money had been raised by Dreamers Folk at the personal request of Mr Niall Timmins who died in August 2012.
Niall was an extremely highly thought of musician and wood sculptor who sadly lost his battle against the disease, but in typical style asked that his friends put on a concert in his memory to raise money for the charity. This took place in Helston last November with many local musicians contributing to the evening and an audience of over 180 people gathering at the Old Cattle Market.
It was deemed a great success as a concert and a fitting tribute to a much loved man.
