Five firefighters in one appliance from Falmouth were called to Quarry Hill in Falmouth after a call was made from an automated fire alarm.
Firesfighters were alerted to a small kitchen fire by a call monitoring centre just before midday on Saturday.
The kitchen was heavily smoke logged and the crew entered the building with two breathing apparatus and one carbon dioxide extinguisher but the fire was out on its arrival.
A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear smoke from the premise before fire crews cleared the scene.
