The service on Sunday was led by Tremough University student, Emily Mitchell, and the music was led by Encounter Redruth Band, the members were Jonathan, Hannah, Anita, Nathan, Martin, Beth and Dave. Readings from the message were read by Katharine Birch, Adel Hussain and Zoe Steinhardt, all students from the university.
Emily asked many questions to members of the Soul Survivor Group. It was very interesting to see how these young people work together in spreading God's word. Everyone was given a piece of puzzle as they came into church and during the service it was put together. We are like a piece of a jigsaw puzzle and Jesus wants us to work together in our Christian life and to encourage one another.
In her talk Emily said: “We as God’s people are small fragments of His plan for this word and we work together to make His plan a reality. Those of us who are strong and able in faith need to step in and lend a hand to those who falter and not do what is convenient for us.”
Prayers of intercession were said for UK leaders, food banks, people who need our prayers and prayers for our families. “Lord hear our prayers” was sung in the background. The closing hymn was “To God be the glory”. Tea and coffee was served by Carole and Margaret. The service on Sunday will be taken by Richard Courtney.
