Gale-force winds, rain and hail did not deter the hardy vintage tractor drivers who took part in the annual road run around Helston on New Year's Day.
Some 35 vehicles set off from Poldark Mine, Wendron, to complete a 16-mile route taking in the villages of Porkellis, Stithians and Carnkie.
The weather conditions made the scheduled stops for warming refreshments even more welcome than usual - first hot drinks and mince pies at Janette Eathorne's home near Stithians and then more festive fare at the farm of Shirley and Tony Hayne, where the prize for the best decorated tractor was once again awarded to the "evergreen" Garfield Dungey.
Yet more refreshments were laid on at the end of the run, which finished at Michael and Margaret Lawrence's farm near Poldark Mine.
A generous raffle raised a grand total of £350, which the Lawrences decided to donate to the Helston-based ShelterBox appeal.
Co-organiser Phil Moore-Hemsley said thanks went out to everyone who had helped make the run such a great event.
He added: "If anybody has seen the owner of the orange tractor last seen heading towards the Blue Anchor pub after breaking down, we've kept him a mince pie for his efforts."
