On a lovely spring morning the service was conducted by Peter Richmound of Porthleven with the pianist being Shirley Mildren.
Joe Hill welcomed the congregation at the door and Vera Hill provided the pulpit flowers. Joanna Alker, vestry steward, warmly welcomed Peter and read the notices. Peter's theme throughout was 'Temptation and Power' and he brought with him all his apparatus which he uses when he commentates on sport for radio Cornwall which everyone found interesting.
The two lessons were read by Joan Willerton and Crete Pooley. It was also Bible Sunday and a service was held in Helston chapel at 4pm.
Coffee and biscuits were served after the service by Jean James and Adrienne Berryman and a faith lunch was held last Sunday the proceeds of which were divided equally between Christian aid and the bible society.
Our spring bazaar is being held on Saturday, March 29 opening at 3pm by Dr Ian Wort - A warm welcome to you all.
