The Circuit United service for Bible Sunday was held in the Epworth Hall. During the service, money was handed in, the result of fund-raising events to buy paper for the printing of Bibles for China.
It was mentioned that a large proportion of Christians throughout the world, did not have a Bible, in some fortunate cases there being one for a family, or maybe only for a village. Ministers and other Circuit officials all took part, and Joan Williams played the piano.
During the service, Andrew Besley was welcomed to this Circuit as a local preacher, having already been doing the work elsewhere for many years. After the service there was a shared tea in the Wesley Hall.
