Penzance may have lost one return visitor after a teenage tourist had a sandwich thrown at him, and then getting a punch to the face.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the alleged assault at 4:55pm on Tuesday, March 11 at the Humphrey Davy statue in Market Jew Street.
A force spokesman said that a 14-year-old male tourist "had a sandwich thrown at him and was then punched to the face".
The suspect is described as a white male aged 15-16 yrs old with short spiked fair hair wearing a black hoody and carrying a black Nike rucksack.
