A comedy night has been added to the line-up for this year’s Truro Festival, which takes place in the city from 4 – 20 April.
The city’s annual art, culture and music festival which launched in 2013, has already released an extensive schedule of over 60 events featuring a launch event with Ministry of Sound, various live music gigs including the return of Backbeat Sound System, a host of theatre performances, art events and exhibitions.
Lemon Quay will be transformed into a comedy venue on the evening of Sunday, April 6.
Headlining the night will be Manchester based comedian, Justin Moorhouse. Best known for his role of young Kenny in cult sitcom Phoenix Nights. Since then he has taken several comedy shows to the Edinburgh Fringe, toured the UK with his stand up and won Celebrity Mastermind!
Opening the night will be Tom Wigglesworth, who according to Time Out magazine is ‘one of the big name comedians of the future’.
Darren Hoare, event manager for Individual Events said; “Justin’s quick fire stand up made him the natural choice to headline this gig. While Tom’s combination of impossibly likeable persona and a catalogue of stylish one liners is the ideal combination for a hilarious night out in Truro”
The event is on Sunday 6 April in the marquee on Lemon Quay and starts at 7:30pm. Tickets are £15 and available from www.ticketsource.co.uk/event/52840, Zafiros Bar and the Tourist Information Centre on Boscawen Street.
