Three fir trees thought to be more than 100 years old could soon be coming down at Coverack over fears they are threatening a nearby house, public car park and power lines.
A resident told St Keverne parish councillors that he had first contacted Cornwall Council in 2009 to say he felt they were unsafe.
After hearing it was the parish council’s responsibility, as the trees were on North Corner car park land, member Bill Frisken said: “I love trees but I’m afraid fir trees do break down sometimes.
“It’s dangerous – people are liable to get killed.”
The council is to get three quotes from tree surgeons for the cost of the work.
