Spring was certainly in the air at our first meeting with our re-elected president, Jenny Ragg, welcoming 34 members, one new member and two visitors.
She also welcomed Jean Kessell as our new treasurer with her assistant Emma Benney, and Sally Annan as press officer and assistant secretary.
Our newly designed programme was well received, the diary for the year including really interesting meetings, talks, activities, outings and (most importantly) great Merry Munchers lunches, planned for us in the year to come. To continue the ‘Spring in our Step’ feeling the fabulous Misty Mountain Line Dancers demonstrated their great line dancing skills and members were instructed in a couple of dances, which were hugely enjoyed by both the participants and spectators. A great start to an exciting new year, rounded off by our usual delicious tea.
Our next meeting is on Thursday, April 10 at 7.30pm when the Director of the Maritime Museum, Jonathan Griffin, will be speaking on the Fal Estuary. Please feel free to join us, everyone is welcome.
